2.What are the hours of operation?
The BCI location is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. weekly.
3. What is the cost for BCI & FBI background reports? What forms of payment are accepted?
State BCI report: $49.00
Federal BCI report: $49.00
Both Federal and State BCI report: $70.00
DHHC accepts money orders, debit/credit cards and business checks as forms of payment. At this time we do not accep personal checks.
Businesses that are interested in setting up an account with DHHC and being billed for services should contact DHHC's Administrative Department at [email protected].
4. What is the difference between a state and federal background report?
Federal background reports conduct records searches on all criminal activity from a federal database (nationwide), while state background reports conduct records searches for all criminal activity from a state database.
5. Do I need to bring any documents with me to obtain a background report?
Any person requesting a background report must provide a valid photo ID. Acceptable forms of identification are a valid state driver's license, state identification card, passport or military identification card. You may also be required to fill out our Authorization For Criminal Background Check, the form can be found HERE OR in our office. Alternatively, you can bring your own form if your employer or licensing agency has provided you with one.
6. When will the results be available?
Results from both federal and state background reports will be mailed to the location specified on your application within 2-6 weeks from the date submitted.
7. What information is needed to request a background report?
All persons requesting a background report from DHHC must complete the brief application. Applicants must provide personal contact information (name and home address), which background report the are requesting (State BCI or Federal FBI), exact address where the report will be sent and a signature validating your request.
8. Where should I park?
The DHHC Blue Ash office has ample free parking in our lot, accessible parking is available at our rear entrance.
9.Can a background report be requested for a person under the age of 18?
Yes. The minor must be accompanied by an parent or guardian. This person must sign the application granting the request. (Proof of relation may be requested)
